The Board of
Directors of Tofaº A.S., the Fiat Auto and Koç Holding
joint-venture that is listed at the Istanbul Stock Exchange,
has appointed Alfredo Altavilla as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Altavilla replaces Diego Avesani, who rejoins Fiat Auto
where he is going to hold new responsibilities.
Mr. Altavilla, born in Taranto, Italy in 1963, joined Fiat
Auto’s International Ventures Developments Department as
an analyst in 1990. From 1992 to 1995, he increased his
responsibility in the fields of strategic planning and
product development.
In 1995, Mr. Altavilla was appointed Fiat Auto Chief
Representative in the People’s Republic of China. In 1999,
he was named Senior Manager, Asia.

In September 2004, Mr. Altavilla was appointed
Senior Vice President, Business Development and
Chairman of Fiat-GM Powertrain, a job he now leaves
to take up this new position |

From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Altavilla was in charge of a number
of projects and initiatives within the Corporate Development
Department of Fiat Auto, primarily in relationship with the
establishment and development of the alliances with GM and
PSA Peugeot Citroën. In September 2004, Mr. Altavilla was
appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development and
Chairman of Fiat-GM Powertrain. Mr. Altavilla is graduated
in economics from the University of Milan.
