09.09.2005 Italian design house Fioravanti will make their debut in the two wheel sector at EICMA 2005 in Milan later this month with a very innovative concept, CICLEO

Fioravanti company, a very well known design firm operating mainly in the automotive field, after the architecture and the nautical continues its diversification’s program making one’s debut in the two wheel sector with a very innovative concept: CICLEO.

A very special man, Leonardo Da Vinci, conceived and designed the first bicycle as early as the XV century. As homage to this great Italian genius, Fioravanti has named their new cycle, with its innovative design, the “CICLEO”. We see the bicycle as an industrial product, with the original  simplicity of the frame to be produced in large numbers.

The basic idea, patented worldwide, by Fioravanti, is to make up the frame from identical stamped modules which can be positioned to give either a gents or a ladies version. The sizes can also be varied, by using extensions, during the assembly.  The assembly line can be programmed so that, the already painted parts, can easily be assembled without any welding.

The braking forks are also patented. They are operated by a simple hydraulic system that uses friction against the sides of the wheel rim.

The first two “CICLEO” prototypes will be shown for the first time at the long-running EICMA 2005, the 63rd International Bicycle and Motorcycle Exhibition. The event, which started ninety years ago, takes place as usual in Milan, from 16th-19th September.

Fioravanti’s debut into the bicycle world has been possible thanks to the cooperation of ANCMA, who have shown tremendous interest in potential of the “CICLEO”
