17.04.2005 Iveco has beaten off stiff competition to secure an order from Abu-Dhabi Civil Defense, for six heavy fire fighting vehicles

Iveco dealer, Al Hamid Group, has received an order from the Abu-Dhabi Civil Defence, for six heavy fire fighting vehicles, model FIRETRAKKER – TLF 30/50.

Three of these units will be four wheel drive, while the other three units are two wheel drive. The total amount of this order is approximately 1.500.000 euros.

The order was awarded to Iveco, after a long international bid, against the main competitors Renault, M-Benz and MAN, all of whom are present and active in this market.

This important success was achieved specially thanks to the strict cooperation between the Sales & Marketing people of Iveco Mezzi Speciali, Iveco (truck) and Al Hamid Group, the local dealer. With this order Iveco has assured once again his leadership in the market confirming a relevant presence of Iveco Magirus vehicles in the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence’s fleet.

The ordered fire fighting vehicles are to be produced on the chassis EUROTRAKKER MP190E37H and MP 190E37W, and after a specific marketing action, for the first time, the bodywork will be in “ALUFIRE system”, completely built in Aluminium in order to be corrosion proof and to have an higher finish.

The vehicles will be equipped with a water tank that will hold 4000 litres and is integrated in the bodywork, a complete tool set for fire fighting and rescue operations, and with a roomy crew cab suitable for up to six persons.
