Visitors to the
Bologna Motor Show have been able to see three Lancia
show-cars that offer a glimpse of the main motifs and
content available on three new versions that are about to go
into production. These include a revised Thesis, a Ypsilon
with an individualiastion package, and most significant of
all
the Lancia Ypsilon Platino+ which has been designed in
the same spirit as the Musa Platino+, offering a
peerless level of equipment and stylistic sophistication
within its segment. It adds the distinctive elegance of a
two-tone body and an extra selection of features to the
already very opulent Platino specification.
The vehicle on
show is identifiable by its sophisticated livery, which
combines Vasari Pearl and Caravaggio Brown. This timeless
colour match is mirrored in the lounge-like interior where
visitors can enjoy an exclusive dark brown leather trim with
a youthful up-to-date embossed pattern that is gratifyingly
substantial to the touch. The final result is a crisp new
colour contrast that is quite simply irresistible. When
equipped with the 70 bhp 1.3 16v Multijet, the Lancia
Ypsilon Platino+ is a shining example of our
perennial desire to experiment, a tradition that has yielded
genuine four-wheeled works of art that have played a vital
part in developing Italian car design.
