Further, in the outdoor arena at Bologna, over two hundred
drivers will take part in thirty races and exhibitions, from
Formula 1, through freestyle, to rallying. The importance of
motor racing to the Trident company will be underlined by
the presence on their stand of both a GranSport Trofeo and a
Vitaphone Racing Team MC12. This MC12 raced in the FIA GT
World 'Gran Turismo' Championship and made a huge
contribution to Maserati winning the 2005 Constructors'
title. One important step along the way to thisachievement
was the German team claiming victory in the gruelling Spa 24
Hours with Michael Bartels, Timo Scheider and Eric Van de
Poele at the wheel.
The Trident marque will present the two new versions of the
Quattroporte at the Bologna motorshow. The Sport GT will be
exhibited in Nero Carbonio and the Executive GT in Blu
Malagò. Alongside them will be an aggressive GranSport and
an elegant Coupé Cambiocorsa. These models will flank the
GranSport Spyder, making its Italian public debut. The new
Modenese droptop in Nero Carbonio arrives in Italy after
earning widespread acclaim in Frankfurt.
