Over the next four days the new Alfa 159 will be presented on the Italian-style Piazza at Covent Garden, the famous shopping and entertainment heart of London city life. It is the latest and most glamorous stop for the Alfa 159 'roadshow', which has taken the stunning Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed sedan on a tour of major city centres across the UK, including Newcastle, Bristol and Manchester. This latest high-profile appearance for the Alfa 159 comes as its official UK launch date, 25th February, looms into full view.

From this morning until Sunday evening, shoppers, tourists and leisure visitors to the Covent Garden area will be able to examine the new Alfa 159 close-up, as two examples will be available for public inspection, while Alfa Romeo's staff will be on hand to explain the new car in detail, and arrange test-drives for interested onlookers. It is undoubtedly the perfect setting to present the exciting new Alfa 159. The Italian beauty will be rubbing shoulders with the cream of London style, fashion and sheer exuberance in Covent Garden, allowing the Alfa 159 to demonstrate its own core values of 'cool', gracefulness and an athletic stature and personality.

Covent Garden is an area of London that is world-famous for its vibrant night and day life, focused around its unrivalled collection of prestigious shops, restaurants and theatres. The internationally-renowned Royal Opera House and National Theatre are probably the best know faces of historic Covent Garden, the heartland of London's theatre-land (there are more theatres clustered here than any other location in the world) and home to the stars.

With classic operas, contemporary theatre productions and majestic ballets, this Covent Garden is the undisputed epicentre of London's glittering nightlife scene. Hundreds of cafés, restaurants and bars all offer the the food and drink of every country on earth, while the famous Covent Garden Market, which can trace its history back to the middle ages, serves up the very best in arts, crafts, antiques, souvenirs and gifts. Museums, art galleries, street theatres and all-year-round festivals all add to the non-stop heady mix, which is now rightly joined by the very epitome of Italian style and pedigree - the new Alfa 159.

"We're very excited to be presenting the Alfa 159 at Covent Garden," says Alfa Romeo UK Marketing Manager, Roland Ellison. "We believe that the values represented by the Covent Garden businesses clearly overlap those of the Alfa Romeo brand, and so showing the Alfa 159 on the Piazza for the next few days is a perfectly natural fit. We expect the see excellent interest in the Alfa 159, building on the huge feedback we have found everywhere in the UK where we have already presented it."

The Alfa 159 will be on display in the Covent Garden Piazza, London SW8 all day, 9-12 February.
