The Croatian
Alfa Romeo Club, the Alfa Klub, which is growing
rapidly as it brings together the many enthusiasts of the
Italian brand in Croatia, has just held its second Christmas
'meeting', this time in the city of Karlovac. Following the
success of their first "Christmas Lunch" event last
December, the club decided to make the get together a
regular "tradition", and so a second Christmas gathering of
Alfa Romeo owners' and enthusiasts' in Croatia was
organised.
This year the location for the "Christmas Lunch" was the
historic and picturesque City of Karlovac, known as the
"City of the Four Rivers". The Alfa Klub was formed a
year and a half ago to bring the passionate Alfa Romeo car
owners' dotted across Croatia together to enjoy their
vehicles and help each other. This was in fact or seventh
major meeting, once more gathering Alfa Romeos from across
the country; many of these events have seen a real
"international" flavour with cars arriving from Slovenia and
Italy. This meeting started at 11:00 in the morning in
Karlovac, in the parking lot of SC Korana, with the Alfa
Romeos quickly streaming in. In very overcast conditions the
day started with much chatter amongst the owners who admired
each others' cars. Once the Alfa Romeos had gathered up a
photo session took place.

At around half past twelve the thirty five Alfa Romeos which
had arrived, went on a tour of Karlovac escorted by the
local police force. The destination of the convoy was the
restaurant "Lovački Rog" (in English, "Hunter's Horn"),
which is located just outside Karlovac on an old road that
leads to Zagreb. Before the lunch commenced leadership of
the Alfa Klub thanked all our sponsors for their
continued support throughout this year, and to our core
members who put in so much effort this year in the club's
promotion and organising the meetings.
After the lunch we held a small lottery contest with the
winners receiving many excellent presents from our sponsors,
and in fact, thanks to our sponsors' generosity, everybody
ended up winning something. All in all it was a beautiful
day with the Alfa Klub, and everyone can proudly say
that the club put on another excellent event. With the Alfa
Romeo scene thriving in Croatia, and the new generation of
models steadily filtering onto the roads, we look forward to
next year when the Alfa Klub will go from strength to
strength. For more information on the Alfa Klub
