This
month has seen the
Italian Automotive Centre opening its third dealership in the
Brussels area. Located on the west side of Belgium's
cosmopolitan capital city, the new agency which caters for
the Fiat and Lancia brands, is ideally situated for easy
access right at the end of the Ostend motorway, and only a few hundred meters from the
Brussels ring road, as well as the Dilbeek and
Groot-Bijgaarden industrial zone.
The inauguration date was
deemed to be crucial as it coincided with the opening day of the
bi-annual European Motor Show, which is held at the Heysel
Exhibition Center in Brussels, only two exits further along
the ring road. For Italian Automotive Center it was a rush to finish the new
showroom and workshops in time, but the result was well
worth the effort.
"All our Fiat,
Lancia and Alfa Romeo owners were invited to the opening
ceremony, as well as our fleet customers," says
David Leeson, IAC's Fleet & LCV
Manager. The
assembled guests were treated to a magnificent evening
presentation of the new Fiat Grande Punto, as well as a
dramatic demonstration organised by the talented young
artists of the Brussels Circus School.

Powerful 'anti aircraft' searchlights placed in front of the
new showroom for the evening meant that the opening ceremony
was clearly visible by motorists using the busy Brussels ring road.
The exciting new Fiat Grande Punto has recently arrived in
Belgium, following its pan-European roll-out which has been
gathering pace ever since it was unveiled to the public during
the Frankfurt IAA last autumn, and it is a car that IAC has
very
high hopes for. "The new Grande Punto is quite simply a
superb car," adds David Leeson, "interest in this
gorgeous new model has been extremely high ever since it was launched,
and anticipation of its arrival in Belgium has really built
up.
After the
showroom opening ceremonies and the presentation of the
Grande Punto, the two hundred guests were treated to a
buffet dinner and selection of fine wines. IAC deemed the
whole event a great success and were delighted that the
opening was able to be perfectly timed to coincide with the
prestigious European Motor Show. "This
new dealership now means that the Italian Automotive Center
covers three of the four main areas of Brussels," says David
Leeson, concluding: "We are hoping that a fourth new
dealership opening will take place towards the middle of the
year."
