For a few days now, a
GranSport has appeared on a mega screen overlooking New
York’s Times Square. Images of
the vehicle are captured in the urban setting of Manhattan
on the colossal Jumbotron. This is a liquid crystal screen
that measures 18 m x 12 m and is situated some fifteen
metres up at the point where Times Square, Broadway and
Seventh Avenue meet.
The Maserati GranSport that appears in the video is the
prize that the national United States network, C-NBC, has
put up for the winner of a special ‘Fantasy Challenge’
competition. Approximately 100,000 people have already
entered this data challenge to attempt to guess the
fluctuations of shares quoted on the Wall Street stock
exchange.

As an inauguration to the
‘Fantasy
Challenge’ competition, the NBC television network, the owners of the
C-NBC cable channel, welcomed Maserati at the Rockerfeller
Center. James Selwa, the President of Maserati North
America, was a guest on the popular ‘Today Show’, the most
widely watched transmission on morning television in the
United States.
At the same time, two Maseratis were displayed for the
entire day to a curious and passionate public in the plaza
outside the Rockerfeller Center.
