The June sales
result of new Ducati motorcycles sold in North America set a
new record, with over 1100 units being retail registered.
The one month result put an exclamation point on an already
very strong half-year result for Ducati North America, with
vehicle unit sales up 16 percent since the first of the year
and Motorcycle Related Parts (MRP) up 25 pct.
New unit sales growth was led by Canada, which is up an
astounding 56 pct year-to-date, followed by California and
New York. In the MRP category, the accessories group is up
by a whopping 47 pct, year-to-date.
"Everyone at Ducati North America and many of our dealers
have been working their tails off for the past few years and
we are finally reaching critical mass with our business.
This momentum allows us to offer a range of motorcycles,
accessories and apparel that is growing each season and
generates profit for our dealers." said Michael Lock, CEO of
Ducati North America and Ehlert's Powersports "2006
Executive of the Year". "It has been a year of steady and
healthy growth, and we are not planning on slowing down any
time soon."
