The car which has
been described as ‘The F40 for the 21st Century’, the all
new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, will make its only UK driving
appearance in 2006 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in
July. This 620hp, V12 masterpiece combines the elegance of
Ferrari design with the race-developed technology from the
Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Formula 1 team. Powered by a
5999cc engine first seen in the Enzo supercar, this will be
a highlight of the Festival when it appears on the Supercar
Run each day.
Goodwood will also
be the first opportunity to see a unique Ferrari 612
Scaglietti personalised by the design team from the leading
lifestyle magazine Wallpaper*. This truly original
car features a number of interior and exterior design
elements tailored specifically to reflect the style of
Wallpaper and Ferrari together. The car also
incorporates the Handling GTC pack which emphasises the
performance associated with the Prancing Horse.
Ferrari has always
been an innovator in the automotive world and at Goodwood
Festival of Speed there will be a unique opportunity to see
the winning designs of the global competition called
"Ferrari: New Concepts of the Myth" which presents the ideas
and thoughts of the best students from four of the most
respected car design schools worldwide (College for Creative
Studies of Detroit, Coventry University – School of Art and
Design, European Institute of Design of Turin and Tokyo
Communication Arts).

The 20 models – in 1:4 scale – will be
on show in the Stable Yard at Goodwood, the only opportunity
to see the display in this country. The Festival of Speed
will also be the first opportunity for guests to discover
the Ferrari Classiche programme, where Ferrari clients can
receive certification of authenticity for their cherished
cars, technical assistance, maintenance and restoration as
required. A beautifully preserved Ferrari 275 GTB4, one of
the first to be authenticated by the Ferrari Classiche
programme will be exhibited in the official Ferrari area.
Amongst a range of
rare, priceless and beautiful Ferrari cars there will be one
of only 29 FXX in the world, the Formula 1 World
Championship winning F2004 driven by Scuderia Ferrari
Marlboro test driver Marc Gené, and a stunning 1959 Ferrari
250 LWB California Spider. This year Ferrari has created a
very special area in the Stable Yard at the Goodwood
Festival of Speed to present the entire range of road cars,
the "Ferrari: New Concepts of the Myth" exhibition and the
preview of the Ferrari Classiche programme.
