Two Risi
Competizione Ferrari F430GT race cars finished first and
second in the GT2 class in the Labour Day Grand Prix of
Mosport American Le Mans Series Race held at the Mosport
International Raceway, Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada on
Sunday. It was a historic day for Ferrari in the ALMS series
as Risi Competizione won their third race of the season with
the number 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari driven by Stephane
Ortelli and Johnny Mowlem; while their teammates, Toni
Vilander and Maurzio Mediani drove the Number 61 Ferri
Competizione/Ferrari of Silicon Valley F430GT to second
place.
The win was the
third of the season for the Houston-based Risi Competizione
team; it also marked the first time that Ferrari has
captured the top two spots on the podium in the American Le
Mans Series.
“We are
delighted with this effort by the team,” said team Managing
Director Giuseppe Risi. “It doesn’t get any better than a
one-two finish. "Remo Ferri and Giacomo Mattioli have joined
us to campaign the Ferri Competizione/Ferrari of Silicon
Valley F430GT in the ALMS series.

"And the result here today shows the what happens when two
Ferraris take to the race track," continued Risi. "Stephane
Ortelli, Johnny Mowlem, Toni Vilander, and Maurizio Mediani
all drove great races. Our crew did a thoroughly
professional job of setting the cars up and the Michelin
tyres were superb. It was a great team effort and every
member of the team shares in this wonderful result,” he
added.
