Dutch automotive design firm
Vandenbrink Design has announced that it is set to realise the Ferrari 599 GTB
Fiorano based study it first presented in drawing form last in September last
year; a styling project which draws its inspiration from the famous Ferrari 250
GTO. "The Vandenbrink 599 GTO concept study received worldwide heart warming
acclaim by car connoisseurs and collectors," says the company. "It became
immediately evident we should realise this design and bring it on the road for
selected customers."

The Vandenbrink 599 GTO will be developed on the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
platform. Launched at the Geneva Motor Show last year, it blends outstanding GT
characteristics with competitive sports capability, and is considered the state
of the art in GT/sports chassis and drivetrain technology. As this project has
not been licensed by Ferrari, Vandenbrink are unable to use the Ferrari name in
the new car's title.
The specialist aluminium
coachbuilding work of the 599 GTO will be performed by classic automobile
restoration specialist and coachbuilder Alwin Hietbrink in the Netherlands. Hietbrink
is known worldwide for his excellent aluminium craftsmanship in restoration and
rebuilding projects such as the Ferrari 250 GTO, 250 GT SWB, 250 Testa Rossa,
250 GT Drogo, 275 GTB, 365 GTB Daytona, 212 Vignale and many other types.

The firm has announced that just five Vandenbrink GTO's will
be built, meaning that exceptional exclusivity is
guaranteed, and the cars will be tailored to the customers'
individual requests for personal specifications such as
colour, interior, wheels, and coachwork styling details.
They have also revealed that three of the GTOs have already
been sold and they are currently taking orders for the
					remaining two cars.

Vandenbrink Design traces back to
the summer of 2006 when Michiel van den Brink and Robert Koumans started the
design and coachbuilding firm, which is located in the Netherlands. Talented
industrial designer Michiel van den Brink (1977) is a specialist in automotive
design, with a unique modern interpretation of the DNA of classic automotive
icons like Ferrari. Robert Koumans (1961) is entrepreneur with a background in
automotive and aerospace engineering, marketing and new media. Together they
form a solid basis for establishing Vandenbrink Design as a high-end automotive
and industrial design house. The new firm's first project was to, almost
immediately, reveal proposals for the Vandenbrink GTO.
