Together with Ferrari Director General, Amedeo Felisa, and Product Development Director Massimo Fumarola, Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo finally unveiled the limited edition 612 Scaglietti Sessanta at Fiorano under the flashlights on Thursday; a sports car which has been built just 60 times, with each of them uniquely personalised with one of the 60 symbols that have been chosen to celebrate the 60 years of existence of the House of Maranello.

There are many innovations on board of this car: starting with the eye-catching electrochromatic roof which is of the latest generation, compared to the one fitted to the Superamerica. This is quickly followed by the new interiors with leather by Frau of exceptionally high quality, and the evocative "engine start" button positioned on the steering wheel. And boasting 3.2 BHP/Kg, the 612 Scaglietti Sessanta is the best performing 2+2 in the world. The 612 Sessanta, which has been offered to very selected customers, is produced on the body of the 612 Scaglietti and thus comes with the full enhancement package used for the latter. This limited edition car is available only with the 'F1' gearbox and as well provides a string of very excusive and special, integral and detail features. The sixty cars will each be available alternatively in a two-colour exterior special paint style, these being either Grigio scuro (Colori Classici ’50-’60)/Nero with a grigio scuro side line, or Rubino Micalizzato/Nero Daytona with a Rubino Micalizzato side line. This overall look is complemented by the following new colour features which are also added: a special colour of underbody black in technical black; coloured treatment of the front headlights, and the rear bumper details finished in silver.

The new Exterior content of the 612 Sessanta comprises of an electro-chromic panoramic roof panel with three transparency positions; new monolithic and forged 19”/19” wheel rims; specific wheel cups, radiator grille with a specific painted frame; chromium-plated rear grids with black chromed special exhaust pipes, and a "612 Sessanta" emblem on front fender.
 

The interior is characterised by a single-colour environment, with slightly contrasting stitching, with two choices available. Firstly, new natural leather, “Terra Bruciata” coloured (exclusive colour on 612 Sessanta), including Marrone carpets, interior details in Grigio Scuro (dash cross member, door panel details, tunnel plate), black seat belts and Terra Bruciata colour for steering wheel, dashboard, rear shell, and upper interior. This is exclusively available with the Grigio Scuro/Nero livery.

The second option to be offered on this car New Natural leather, Charcoal coloured, and includes Grigio Scuro carpets, interior details in Rubino Micalizzato (comprising of the dash cross member, door panel details and tunnel plate), Grigio seat belts, Charcoal colour for steering wheel, dashboard, rear shell, and upper interior part. This interior is exclusively available with the Rubino Micalizzato/Nero Daytona livery.

The new interior content continues with the steering wheel fitted with the now-obligatory three-position Manettino and Engine Start button; an exclusive upholstery style for the seats, door panels and rear sides; a specific central tunnel upholstered and fully equipped, with two cup-holding compartments and rear handles; four pockets on the door panels, two of them closed; a specially-styled instrument cluster;  a unique plate, individual to each of the 60 examples, celebrating the 60-year anniversary on F1 gearbox plate and leather upholstered and equipped boot. Rounding out the content upgrades are the CCM braking system with black calipers, Bose Media System, Rear Parking Camera, TV Tuner and Cruise Control.
