Fiat
Professional is showcasing its full light commercial vehicle
range at Fenatran 2007 the biggest commercial vehicle
show to take place in Latin America. The 16th edition of the
event, Fenatran 2007, is taking place this week, from
15 to 19 October, in the huge industrialised city of São
Paulo. The biannual show has rapidly grown in importance
and, as well as Fiat Professional, all the major commercial
vehicle players in South America are represented this year,
including Mercedes-Benz, VW, Scania, Volvo, Citroën and
Ford. The last edition (held in October 2005) attracted 272
exhibitors and 42,702 visitors, from both Brazil and abroad.
For Fiat Professional Fenatran 2007 is the perfect
opportunity to show its new line of commercial vehicles. The
most important and significant model on show on Fiat’s stand
is the Ducato, which is available in twenty-three different
types of configuration, the widest possible in its segment
on the Brazilian market.
The Ducato is
equipped with one of the most modern and reliable engines
available in the country, the 2.8-litre common rail
turbodiesel with direct injection, offering a power output
of 127 bhp. Fiat Professional is using the occasion of
Fenatran 2007 to launch in the passenger-carrying
“Minibus” version with the option of a high roof;
emphasising Fiat Professional's focus on the area of
passenger transportation in big cities, one of the fast
growing transport segments in Brazil today.

Two prototype versions of the Ducato are also being shown to
the public and trade professionals at the show, the 'Cabinato'
and 'Limousine', the latter one has been prepared for the
VIP transport of passengers, and is equipped with the best
technology such as, LCD screen, DVD player, wireless
connection to the internet and a Play Station game amongst
other gadgets. The interior of the 'Limousine' brings to the
user a luxurious finish that includes leather seats,
fridge-bar, sunroof, sofa and two comfortable armchairs with
massage system capabilities.
Besides the
several outfitted versions of Ducato, Fiat’s stand also
brings to the showgoers' attention a string of other capable
models from the brand which are adapted for different work
applications: Uno Van, Fiorino Van, Doblò Cargo, Strada
lengthened pick-up, Palio Adventure and even the new Grande
Punto hatchback which was just recently launched on the
