					Pininfarina has signed an agreement to supply automotive 
					design services with Sonalika Group, a Indian industrial 
					group with headquarters in 
					the Punjab region and present in different sectors, from 
					tractors to car components. Sonalika 
					recently decided to increase the investments in its 
					automotive unit ICML (International Cars and Motors Ltd.) to 
					exploit the boom of the Indian car market. The company 
					focuses on the growing demand for SUV and MPV, vehicles less 
					influenced by the lack of modern road infrastructures 
					outside the highways and the urban areas.  
					  
					
					"This agreement attests the great attention Pininfarina 
					pays to the emerging Indian market in continuous growth," stated 
					Andrea Pininfarina yesterday. "Moreover it confirms the 
					international vocation of our design." 
					
					Last February Pininfarina and NID (National Institute of 
					Design) - main industrial design institute with campus in 
					Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bangalore – signed an agreement 
					of cooperation. The accord provides a three-years 
					cooperation in the automotive design activities through 
					education programs, internships for students, applied 
					research and and specific automotive joint design projects.
