Alfa Romeo sales specialist Craig Aspin, who works at the Mangoletsi dealership, near Knutsford, was rubbing shoulders with Formula One’s motor racing elite at the recent Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest after winning the chance to be part of the action as a guest of the Ferrari team.

Craig scooped the chance to swap his love for one Italian car brand for another after he won the Alfa Romeo V6 Cup prize which was given to the employee who sold the highest number of V6 powered models during the first half of the year in the UK. Craig, who took his girlfriend Julie Brown with him, said: “The whole weekend was absolutely amazing and the hospitality in the private corporate suite was first class. We watched the whole race from a viewing area right above the Ferrari pit and the sights and sounds were just breath taking.”

As well as exclusive access to the Ferrari Formula One Paddock Club Hospitality Suite Craig’s prize also included a pit lane walk-about allowing him to get close to the cars and drivers, topped off with three nights stay at the exclusive Hotel Zara in Budapest. “Before the race the Ferrari drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa came along to talk to us and I also got to meet the executive director of Ferrari Jean Todt who signed an autograph for me,” said Craig.

The prize shows the enthusiasm and passion that Craig has shown for his job during his two years with the company.
