>>> Fiat Stilo
Somewhat in the shade of its Station Wagon variant comes the Stilo saloon. Having endured a tough debut, the Stilo's sales have not met expectations and Fiat are pinning hopes on the Station Wagon and a soon to be introduced "no-frills" entry-level saloon to kick start sales. Visitors to the Paris show can see two Stilos in the Dynamic specification: an 85 kW (115 bhp) 1.9 JTD Dynamic and a 130 bhp 1.8 16v. On a stand you can also admire a three-door Stilo Abarth with the powerful 125 kW (170 bhp) 2.4 20v engine and a Rally Stilo raced in the Fiat Stilo Trophy. Safety is a major area that Fiat have majored on: 8 airbags, the two front bags are Multistage, a full complement of state-of-the-art braking and traction control devices, the sophisticated ESP and Xenon headlights. And also: rain and parking sensors, automatic headlights and a My Car menu, car customisation system. The Fiat Stilo can also be fitted with other exclusive options such as a segmented electric sunroof and a bi-zone automatic climate control system. CONNECT, the innovative telematic system, allows the driver access to the extensive range of services offered by Targasys. The CONNECT system is complemented by a Dual Band GSM phone with WAP internet access, GPS localisation and a navigation system in addition to a CD sound system that can play MP3 music files. The system may be managed by voice commands and displayed on a 7" Wide Screen. This state-of-the-art equipment is complemented by the materials selected for the Fiat Stilo. Including a slush moulding facia, burnished instrument surrounds and top-quality seat and panel trims borrowed from the world of household furnishings. The Fiat Stilo 5 door passenger compartment also offers a Next Generation Interior with all the practicality and flexibility of an MPV in a normal medium-sized compact car. Customers can therefore choose between two cars with different styling, 3 and 5 doors, six engines, 59 kW-80 bhp 1.2 16v; 76 kW-103 bhp 1.6 16v; 98 kW-133 bhp 1.8 16v; 125 kW-170 bhp 2.4 20v; 59 kW-80 bhp 1.9 JTD; 85 kW-115 bhp 1.9 JTD) and five mechanical gearboxes, four manual and a Selespeed unit.
