Veloqx Motorsport are considering
running either a Prodrive built Ferrari 550, or a factory 575M if the planned
project goes ahead, at Le Mans next year in a program which would also
take in the Sebring 12 Hours. Team owner, Hong Kong businessman Sam Li,
believes that the 360 Modena, which the team will campaign in the FIA N-GT
series next year "is not ready to undertake a 24 hour race competitively
yet".
Meanwhile JAS Engineering
offshoot, DART Racing, have expressed a desire to run the 575M FIA GT contender
that Ferari are currently considering building, if the project goes ahead.
This year DART ran their own developed 550 in the closing races to the
FIA GT series, and hope to retain veteran Dieter Quester, who brings substantial
backing from Red Bull, for next season. |
