NUOVO SCUDO VAN AND FLATBED

The new Scudo is reliable and compact, an ideal workmate, which comes in a range of 9 different types of bodywork to meet the most disparate professional requirements. The wide choice for the Van reflects the changes taking place in the market where volumes and payloads are concerned. As a result, the external length varies from 4.80 to 5.13 metres, the load length is between 2.26 m (with the 3 metre short wheelbase) and 2.56 m (with the 3.12 metre long wheelbase), the loading volume can be 5, 6 or 7 m3, and the payload between 1000 and 1200 kg.

The loading bay is functional and well protected, thanks to its square shape and the practical, wide side/rear doors, and it is fitted with 8 sturdy practical load restraint rings. And to make life easier, the loading floor is just 56 cm high even with steel suspension (49 cm with air suspension).

The New Scudo is also available as a flatbed, with the long wheelbase (3.12 m), Gross Vehicle Weight up to 3,000 kg, and permissible loads of 1,400 kg on the front axle and 1,700 kg on the rear axle. This is an ideal solution, ready for conversion with one of the many possible outfits: refrigerated body, pick-up, mobile workshop, small mobile shop, camper, etc... This base is fitted with anchorages and specific points on the floor and the wheelarches on which the special bodywork can be mounted, making conversion work easier for coachbuilders. All these vehicles are fitted with a Coachbuilders Technical Box (BTC) which has a ‘Plug and Play’ logic, to make it easy to connect the electrical circuits on the base vehicle to the conversion.

On request, there is also a kit that extends the body width to 2.10 metres to optimise conversions, taking the dimensional features of the vehicle into account (particularly for refrigerated vans and campers).
