For Scuderia
Ferrari the penultimate test session before the start of
the 2009 F1 season in Australia in twenty five days time
began early this morning at Jerez de la Frontera in
southern Spain with Felipe Massa at the wheel of the F60

After eight
days and more than 3,500 kilometres Scuderia Ferrari's
test sessions at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain came to
an end on Thursday afternoon with Felipe Massa the
driver who started and ended the sessions at the Persian
Gulf

Felipe
Massa was back behind the wheel of the Ferrari F60
yesterday as the marathon test in Bahrain went into its
penultimate day; however the test was once again
blighted by technical problems which reduced track
running time

Kimi Raikkonen's last day of testing at the Sakhir
circuit in Bahrain was extremely troubled with a cooling
failure on the new KERS system costing several track
hours although the Finn still ended the day with the
fastest time

Scuderia Ferrari resumed yesterday at the Sakhir circuit
in Bahrain with Kimi Raikkonen back behind the wheel of
the new F60 and getting a full day of development work
in on the track

In January it was the rain and
on Thursday in Sakhir it
was the sand preventing Kimi Raikkonen from driving the F60
in the dry but finally the
weather conditions improved and the wind stopped blowing
sand allowing the Finn to drive

positive outcome at the end of the first day of Scuderia
Ferrari's planned eight day test session yesterday at
the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain which will see the F1 team
looking to get to grips with its new F60 chassis
